GOMORRHEA ::is a sexually transmitted infections which is caused by a bacteria called  neiseria gonococcus and it is characterized by vaginal discharge, vaginal itching .

it is transmitted through unprotected Sex with the incubation period of 7-14 days in men but may not show any sign in females.

signs and symptoms

-Dysuria ( painful urination )

– Frequent urination

-Cervical Tenderness

-post coital bleeding

-vaginal discharge

-vaginal itching

TREATMENT (recommended drugs)

tab. azithromycin 500 mg  once daily  for 3 days

iv/ I’m cerftriaxone 1 gram for  1 week.

NOTE : PREGNANT WOMEN SHOULD SEE THEIR DOCTOR.
complications of untreated gomorrhae 

-It caused infertility in women

-it caused ophthalmia if not treated for gonorrhea during pregnancy.

–  it caused neonatal blindness.

PREVENTION OF GONORRHEA

the main prevention of gonorrhae ,include 

-the use of the comdom

-abstain from sex

-ensure vaginal hygiene
