President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo Addo during his 2016 campaign, promised that he will build extraordinary Astroturf pitches across the breadth and length of the country to help boost our sports activities and any other activities which may need such places.
His Execellency the President of Ghana, in delivering his promise he made to Ghanaians, he started cutting sod for the commencement of the astroturf to some Districts in the country. His Excellency Nana Addo never left upper Denkyira East Municipal behind. He gave upper Denkyira East municipal a constructor to build the astroturf for the good people of Denkyira and its environment.
Work began smoothly and speedily in 2018, unfortunately, the work which was suppose to be completed within 9 months has been left Dejected. The contractor has left the site about 2 years ago and has not returned yet.
According to one of his workers, the contractor left the site because of lack of funds to complete the project. The contractor has been putting pressure on the government to release funds to complete the project but to no avail. “We don’t know when the contractor will come”, he said.
The taxpayer’s money is being wasted, Till when will we respect the future of this country and to complete every single project started with taxpayer’s money.
