Astroturf is one of the social amenities promised to be delivered to some constituents by Nana Addo government. Honestly this project started in the various constituencies of which Amenfi East hasn’t left behind.
The Astroturf which was started in the First term of Nana Addo governance at Wassa Akropong has not been completed as we speak.
Today, on the 29th day of June 2022 , Hon. Nicholas Amankwah who is the member of parliament for Amenfi East has taken upon himself to tasks the Hon. Minister for sports to complete the Abandoned Astroturf for public use.
He made this statement when he had the chance to ask the Minister for sports some questions concerning the development of the state of Youth and sports in Ghana.

According to Hon. Nicholas Amankwah, the contract signed for the Wassa Akropong Astroturf project made no provisions for technical bench for the both teams to be used. In the video below, he asked the Minister for sports what he is doing about the absence of technical bench in the project.
The Honourable sports Minister concluded that, consultations will be made to ensure that the technical bench will be available in the project for use by the very good people of Amenfi East.
Hon. Nicholas Amankwah concluded his submission to the house by giving thanks to his constituents on the efforts been made on expanding the goal poles of Astroturf .
