Dear, District Chief Executive
School Feeding Coordinator
Hon. Member,

I bring you warm regards and solidarity as a committed youth activist and foot soldier of the great National Democratic Congress (NDC), working tirelessly for the growth of our beloved party at the grassroots level.

I write with deep passion and a sense of responsibility regarding the upcoming allocation of the Basic School Feeding Program contracts within our district. This program is not just a social intervention—it is also a strategic opportunity to reward, empower, and motivate the true heroes of our party: our branch executives, campaign foot soldiers, and loyal grassroots mobilizers who labored day and night to ensure our electoral strength on the ground.

It is my respectful and humble submission that priority consideration be given to NDC branch executives and worthy individuals within each zone or electoral area. These are the people who, without salary or personal gain, sacrifice their time, energy, and resources to campaign, defend our party’s image, and deliver votes at the grassroots. Awarding them school feeding contracts will not only empower them economically, but also reinforce loyalty, boost morale, and sustain the party’s momentum toward 2028 and beyond.
Let us note that, whiles others were busy at their work to earn money, these individuals were were busily engaged fully campaigning days and nights for the party to capture power. Again, the school feeding program is the only opportunity that some of those people can benefit directly so let’s not forget or ignore them for the future is very close and we will need them more than before.

We must discourage the practice of bringing in outsiders—individuals with no connection to our local structures—who neither understand the political terrain nor have contributed to our struggle. This only demoralizes our base and weakens the spirit of voluntary service, which is the bedrock of our success, Let’s not repeat the past of awarding these contracts to individuals from the district/ Municipal urban areas to cook at the schools in the rural areas when those who laboured and toiled for the party success at those branches are left out .

I respectfully recommend the following approach:

  1. Constitute a fair, transparent, and inclusive ward/zonal committee to recommend qualified, loyal NDC members for the contracts.
  2. Establish a quota system per electoral area, ensuring equitable distribution.
  3. Prioritize local branch executives, women organizers, and youth leaders who demonstrated exceptional dedication during the campaign.
  4. Implement a performance-based and rotational system to benefit more party loyalists over time.

We must use this opportunity not just to feed our children—but to feed the spirit of our party. Let the school feeding program serve as a symbol of reward for hard work, not a tool for elite patronage.

In unity and with strategic thinking, we can build a stronger NDC from the ground up.

Let’s consolidate the gains together without division.

Yours Comradely!
