The Ghana nurses and midwives trainee’s Association (Gnmta) board has raised a very deep concern about graduate nurses who are not posted yet.
According to Gnmta board, auxilliary nurses are to be posted in march while Diploma nurses are to be posted in July every year but it seems that , the NPP government led by Nana Addo don’t think about nurses.
The Gnmta president indicated the number of meetings they had with the ministry of Health on this issue of posting nurses which the minister of Health Hon. kwaku Agyemang made it clear in 2017 that, the government will include posting of nurses in the 2018 budget.
2018 has less than 4 months to end but not even financial clearance has been issued to the nurses .They stated it strongly in their press released on 20/8/2018 to the government to come out and tell the truth to the nurses whether they will be posted or not . The estimated date given to government is 28th August 2018.
The Gnmta president , reflect on the promise made by NaNa Addo on providing decent jobs for nurse, which also made the trainee nurses then time to campaign and vote for Nana Addo in 2016.
All unposted nurses are demanding for posting before December 2018.
