The Member of Parliament for Upper Denkyira East, Hon. Emelia Ankomah, has inspected a number of ongoing development projects across the constituency, with most expected to be commissioned by October 2026.
The August 31 monitoring exercise, conducted alongside Municipal Chief Executive Hon. George Anane Coleman and NDC constituency executives, covered projects in healthcare, sanitation, clean water and community development.
Among the projects inspected were the ASMA Camp Maternity Block, which is about 70% complete; the ZION Maternity Block at 80%; the Denkyira Gyamaase Community Centre at 90%; the KwakuDum Clean Water Project at 50%; and the Denkyira Babianiha CHPS Compound, which is nearly 100% complete.
Hon. Ankomah urged contractors working on the KwakuDum water project to accelerate construction to ensure residents gain access to safe drinking water as soon as possible.
She reaffirmed her commitment to using her share of the MP’s Common Fund and pursuing additional opportunities to deliver development projects and leave a lasting legacy in the Upper Denkyira East Constituency.
The MP also expressed gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama for making funds available to support development initiatives across the constituency.
