Farmers in the Upper Denkyira East constituency have received a major boost as the Member of Parliament, Emelia Ankomah, announces the distribution of 20,000 high-yielding oil palm seedlings to support agricultural growth and improve livelihoods across the district.
This initiative is aimed at empowering local farmers, enhancing oil palm production, and contributing to economic development within farming communities. The distribution exercise will cover several electoral areas, with a structured schedule to ensure smooth and fair access for beneficiaries.
The exercise begins on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Asikuma Electoral Area, where farmers are expected to gather at Asikuma to receive their seedlings.
The distribution continues on Sunday, March 22, 2026, across multiple locations:
- Buabin Electoral Area at Buabin
- Prada Electoral Area at Prada
- Imbraim Electoral Area at Imbraim
- Kyebi Electoral Area at Opponso
Speaking on the initiative, Hon. Emelia Ankomah emphasized her commitment to supporting farmers and strengthening the agricultural sector in the constituency.
