On Sunday, the 12th of September 2021 , the head pastor of the Glorious Word Power Ministries International, Rev. Owusu Bempah and three others have been arrested for attacking police officers at his church premises. The other three suspects are Michael Boateng, Frederick Ohene and Nathaniel Agyekum. Two other suspects are on the run and the police are perusing them.
The suspects have been detained for further investigations over the creation and circulation of multiple videos containing threats, the brandishing of a weapon, and the assault of some police personnel. After Police critically analyzed the said video and based on intelligence collected, the police has embarked on operation on Sunday 12th September 2021 at the church premises to arrest the suspects.
During the operation, some members of the church believed to have been under the direction of Rev. Owusu Bempah Assaulted these police officers.
The injured officers have received medical treatments and are responding to treatment. The suspects were sent to court today but the case has been adjourned to next.
The police have assured the public that, the suspects would be facing the needed punishment.
